Honor Our Heros Memorial Run 5K
Please join us the evening of Friday, April 5th as we return to one of the most unique 5K courses in the Tampa Bay area. Enjoy this beautiful yet challenging 5K course as it winds its way through the lush, wooded grounds of the Babe Zaharias golf course. Surrounded by the quaint charm of Forest Hills, this race offers a flat, fast run sure to appeal to all levels of runners.
The 5K starts promptly at 6:30pm and will be chip timed by TRC Race Management. Click on Downloads above to view the 5K course.
For those that do not wish to participate in the 5K, but want to join in the fun, there will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk immediately following the 5K. Have questions? See the FAQ tab at the top of this page.

We are going to have a great Post-Race Party featuring a live DJ, FREE BEER and great food samples from area restaurants. Not running? For a modest donation to the PARR Foundation ($10 food only, $15 food and beer), you can enjoy all of the goodies! Food and beverages available starting at 6:45pm

Pre-race Party & Packet Pickup!
Come for packet pickup and stay for our exciting Pre-Race Party at Brass Tap in Carrollwood, taking place Thursday, April 4 starting at 5:30pm. There will be great food, drink and entertainment, with Brass Tap generously donating a portion of the proceeds to support the PARR Foundation. Registration will also be available. Brass Tap is located at 10047 N Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa
Proceeds go to benefit the PARR Foundation.
What the PARR Foundation does:
Serves the community by connecting research, education and clinical care for people living with limb loss.
Supports unique athletic and recreational events in which persons living with limb loss can participate.
Helps facilitate amputees, who may not have the means, to receive prosthetics necessary to help them live their lives to the fullest potential.
Engages in advocacy initiatives to improve the quality of life for persons living with limb loss.

ESCAPE FROM FORT DESOTO TRIATHLON

Welcome new and returning Escape participants! 2018 marks the 33rd year for the Escape from Ft. De Soto Triathlon.
To those of you who have done the event before, welcome back! To those new to the event, you may be interested to know that the park is ranked one of the top-ten beaches in the United States; nine hundred unspoiled acres surround you. First timers, we anticipate that you will have a great first triathlon at Ft. De Soto. To all, we ask that you enjoy the surroundings and please leave the park cleaner than you found it. The Run portion of this event goes over the top of Ft De Soto itself so the sprint/international run courses are 3.4 miles and 6.8 miles.
The Triathlon Distance is a 1/2 Mile Swim, a 10 Mile Bike, and a 3.4 mile Run on a marked course
The Duathlon Distance is a 1.5 Mile Run, a 10 Mile Bike, and a 5K Run on a marked course.
Pre/post race parties & entertainment
High end backpack to all pre-registered athletes.
Age group awards 3 deep in ages 15-19 up to 80 and over. Elite and Masters awards.
Relays 3 deep in each category
Finishers medals to all participants who complete either event
Closed course of racing in Ft De Soto
Last Toll booth paid for by Thunderbolt Promotions.

You must furnish a photo ID and proof of current USAT membership. If you do not have USAT membership you will be required to purchase a one-day license. Per our sanction agreements you can only pick up and sign the waiver for yourself. You are not able to pick up someone else's packet.
All relay team members must be present at the same time to pick up your packet. Substitution of a relay team member will not be permitted.
The Escape from Ft De Soto Triathlon reserves the right in the event of inclement weather, emergency, or natural disaster to cancel the race or move to a later time. In the event of cancellation, there will be no refund of entry fees. However, the USAT fee, if pre-paid, will be refunded.
